Well, I have my first week (of twelve) of my student teaching done and over with! It was pretty much just a week of watching the class, copying papers, and entering grades. This week I will be phased into instruction time a bit more, an activity here and there! The week after will be me teaching my host teacher's lesson plans as she will be at the Presidential Inauguration (January 20th for all of those who want to watch!).
Then Tuesday January 27th? It's all mine!!! I will be teaching one class of Senior Government and two classes of Junior U.S. History...fun, fun times!
**Side Note** I took the Welcome SITSA's post down as I found out the actual date that my friends from SITS will be visiting. The day before I will put it back up!
Have a wonderfully blessed week!

Thanks for sharing...I can't wait to hear more as it goes along :O)
Aww, fun! I mean, I'm sure you'd rather be getting paid for it, but I would choose teaching if I had to choose another career. Or writing. But teaching is more plausible.
Student Teaching is hard work.... Good Luck!
I hated student teaching............
Sooo...if you had to student teach during Inauguration...how's it going? :) I'm stopping by from SITS. Good morning!
Student teaching IS hard work (I'm a University Supervisor)--my advice (if you have time to read it): Keep some kind of a journal--make note of the good things that teachers do AND the bad. Steal, I mean borrow as many idseas as you can. And have fun! Good luck!
Good luck with the student teaching! You have the enthusiasm that we need in the education system. We're going to hear good things from you. Enjoy it! - fellow teacher!
Happy SITS day!
Happy SITS day! Good luck with student teaching. It goes by so quickly.

Happy SITS day! I remember student teaching! It was so much fun! Actually a lot more fun than teaching (but I really loved that too)
Teachers rule! Congratulations!
Biiiiggg Huuuggg!
Good luck with the student teaching! I have to say that grading papers was my very least thing EVER about being a teacher. But the interaction with the kids is so great!
My husband is a HS math teacher...fun times! I loved my gov. teacher in HS, so hopefully they will love you too!
Good luck with your student teaching! How did teaching go on Inauguration Day? I remember student teaching in SLC during the 2002 Olympics so that was a really neat experience as well.
STUDENT Teacher...
I give you sincere thanks :)for caring for our children!
PS I am here from SITS :)
Good luck with the first week! It sounds so indimidating, but I'm scared of 5-yr olds normally.
Great blog!
You know, I never paid attention in those classes in school. I hope yours do. I apologize to any student interns in my past that I may have and most probably did ignore.
From a veteran high school teacher, good luck to you, God bless you, and welcome!
Hey, you go girl. I thought I wanted to teach for older kids, but i like the young girls.
