Family Loans

Who hasn't borrowed money from a family member? I know I have...in fact I still owe my Dad for helping me out this summer. You always try to do things on your own, but there are times when you just can't cut it or things just seem to go wrong from the get go. When my car broke down this summer, I honestly had no idea how I was going to pay for it. I wasn't too worried, as I trust in God for everything; however, money was an issue. I suppose I could have gone to one of those payday loan places, but I honestly don't like to use them. They do have some advantages that you don't have to depend on family and friends to help you out of jams. But the interest rate can be out of this world. I do like that you can go and get other services done at these places. This particular website does have APR disclosures, financial tips, payday loans 101 (that's payday loans for dummies), and answers to all your questions. It might be worth checking out if you are tired of borrowing from friends and family.

Scrapbooking

I know I have been called crazy when it comes to my scrapbooking hobby, um...obession! However, I am heading off to a scrapbook crop tomorrow night. This is where a store opens up for croppers (that's me) to come in and scrapbook until midnight or later. I know that I can do this at home, and I do!!! But, it is always fun to go out with friends and chat with others while you are working. This way you can steal ideas and get feedback on what you are working on. Plus....I have specific pages I want to get done tomorrow and I don't have the right color papers!! I am scrapbooking my Disney cruise!!

Have a great weekend, and Happy December 1st!!! Can you believe that 2006 is almost over?!?

Quickbooks Bookkeeping

Who owns a business and understands the headaches of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and all the other details that revolve around proper accounting? I used to work for my sister and brother-in-law when they owned their glass company here in WA State. At the time, I was doing payroll (and some purchase ordering) and my sister was doing invoicing and accounts receivable. We did all this ourselves as it would have been way too expensive to hire outside bookkeeping services. How much easier would it have been if we could have found a less expensive way of doing our books! Imagine the headaches we wouldn't have had. Well, I found this site that helps small business owners with quickbooks bookkeeping. It's great! You can buy quickbooks online, at a discounted monthly payment. Then for a small predictable monthly payment they will do your bookkeeping--reconiciliations, entering transactions, credit card accounts, bank accounts, and more. They also do payroll for as low as $6 per employee per month. Check it out, and see if this site works for you!

Page Rank

Can anyone tell me how you increase your page ranking? Is it the amount of people that visit your site? If so, do they determine it by how many people leave comments or is there some secret page counter somewhere that I don't know about? I am currently a PR3 and would like to get up to at least PR4 or 5....but I don't know how. Seriously, until a few weeks ago, I didn't even know what a page rank was!! Any help would be appreciated...Thank you in advance!

Life Knot Google Gadgets

We all google or know of google! They have done a tremendous sevice to the internet and how we get information. Well, they now have lifeknot's gadgets that you can add to your personal google search page. What is it? Well, it helps you connect with people that share the same interests as you. You can either do a random shuffle of people and their listed activities, and their names and profiles will come up and then you can talk with them as you choose. Or you can specifically search for people that share the same interests as you...saying scrapbooking, husband hunting, surfing, etc. Then you can chat with whomever....one, all or none! What a great way to meet new friends!

Brother Bear

OMG...had to watch movies in class today. Granted it was Disney's Brother Bear, so it was a good movie; however, I was so falling asleep by the time the last period of the day rolled around. There is only so much movie watching a girl can do without snoozing!!! I wish the teacher had been more prepared with lesson plans instead of watching a movie. Was I in elementary or jr. high? Nope...High School....Brother Bear....go Figure!

Holiday Shopping Coupons

I have quite a few of my Christmas presents bought....yeah for me! But I have a few still left to buy, and I need to have all my shopping done by the 19th when I leave on vacation to California. My niece Maddy is one of the people I still need to buy for...she is 8 and totally girly girl. So I am checking out these online coupons at KB Toys, who is offering free shipping on a vast majority of items. I also need to buy my brother-in-law something (Christmas also happens to be his birthday, so double presents are needed!)...I'm thinking some great mens clothes (who doesn't need new clothes?) Hope that these coupon codes help you with your holiday shopping.

Snow is Gone

Well, it came and it went! The snow is all gone here is Western WA (at least for the most part...some of those outlying areas may still have some). We are back to rain. Speaking of rain, we broke all records set in Seattle for rainfall in the month of November...we have had over 15" of rain this month....that is quite a lot for those of you who hardly ever see rain. It is still cold though...and that I don't like! I just keep imagining myself on the beach in the Caribbean somewhere sipping a drink, getting a tan and relaxing!!! (Susana, when is our next vaca?)

Money Saving Advice

In addition to making money, I am always looking out for ways to save money. I figure why not take advice from those who have already learned these lessons or researched these avenues. Then in turn, I can pass along the information I learn to others I know! There is this site that gives you advice in regards to credit cards, loans, remortgages, bank accounts, and home insurance. Some I won't use (remortgages....since I don't own a home) but others are worth looking at! Are you interested in learning more about credit cards, and how to save money? They give you advice on getting out of debt as well as how to protect your credit rating and such.

The section on loans talks about loan insurance costs, the cost of existing loans, how to get a loan with bad credit and more. For those looking at mortgages check it out about fixed vs. discount and choosing the right mortgage. If you have a mortgage, more than likely you have or need home insurance. And all of us have bank accounts, but do we maximize how we use those checking and savings accounts? I hope this helps you with a bit of advice in your financial plans.

Nick Lachey and Baseball

Now, I've seen and heard it all! Nich Lachey has taken up baseball in WA State...go figure!! Here is the article from KOMO 4 News.

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Singer Nick Lachey says he jumped at the opportunity to be a part owner of the Tacoma Rainiers with Schlegel Sports.
He says he intends to play an active role in the ownership.
The pop singer who was once married to Jessica Simpson, wore the Rainiers' jersey as he was introduced Wednesday in Tacoma. He will own a third of the baseball franchise.
The Rainiers are the Seattle Mariners' Class AAA club in the Pacific Coast League. As part of the sale, the new owners signed a two-year lease and affiliation agreement.

The new owners say Lachey will be involved in developing entertainment for families, including concerts and autograph sessions.

Radio Guide

Everyone listens to music and loves to sing along with the radio, right? If not, get out from underneath that rock and join the rest of us!! In addition to all the Ipods, CD players, Satellite Radio and others most of us own at leas one radio somewhere! Check out this radio guide site that tells you all about buying radios, especially how to find a digital radio. The first step would be to determine what type of radio are you looking for? Are you looking for that digital, clock radio, or some other type of portable radio (where did the days of ghetto blasters go?)? Your next step is how to choose and buy that radio you are looking at. They specifically tell you how to choose and buy each individual type of radio....see they are doing all the hard work for you. All you have to do is read the site and go out and buy what you are looking at!!! Can it get any easier for you? The final step on the site? Where to buy the radio you have chosen. And they aren't telling you to simply go to your local Wal-Mart or Best Buy, but they are giving you names of stores that are top-notch places to buy from. Have fun shopping for that new radio!

Martial Arts Equipment

I myself don't take martial arts, although I know I should take a self defense class (Jess, will you tell me when John is teaching another course?). Therefore, I don't know a lot about martial arts equipment, but this site has great products that you can buy. For me, I am focusing on the self defense products where I can get the usual pepper spray. But I can also get tear gas and stun guns (do they really sell these to individuals such as me?) You can also buy handcuffs, which will come in handy when I go into my Wonder Woman routine and nab the bad guys!!!

No really, there is some great stuff on here. I am going to have to tell my friend Sarah about this site as her husband takes Kando (I know I spelled it wrong) weekly at the community center in Kent. He gets all dressed up and uses some kind of equipment. I also saw on here Medieval Weapons, which look awesome...especially if you are a collector of swords and weapons.

Christmas Tree

Our Christmas tree is up and decorated! It looks so pretty. I cannot take any credit for this tree, it was all Barb's doing....and such a wonderful job she did!!! She put tulle in between each layer of branches (nice to have an aritificial tree, it doesn't matter if you shove stuff in the tree), and there are beautiful flowers, bows, angels, beads and ornaments on the tree. It looks so beautiful at night to sit in the living room with just the tree lit.

Now, I might not have helped decorate the tree but I put together the Christmas village scene on top of the piano! Along with the village shops, I put out all the people and decorations to help the village come to life. I'll try to put a picture on later.

Business Management Software

Every had a job where you didn't get your review on time? I have! Last year when I was working for the construction company, my review was over a month late. When I finally had a conversation with my boss, instead of having a review I was let go. I wonder what would have happened if I had actually had my review on time....I might have realized that things weren't going so well, and known how to fix them. There is this site for employee appraisal software that might have helped me back then.

Attack of the Birds

Susana this is for you!!!

I'm sitting here watching Ellen and the news and I am hearing this noise of what sounds like birds. Not just one or two but tons!!! It is kinda making my skin crawl, because it is a very eerie noise when you have that many birds chirping. I am trying to figure out why we have so many birds chirping, so I looked outside and see hundreds (I don't exaggerate!) sitting in our apple trees eating all the apples still on the tree!!! We have at least 4 fruit trees in our yard and the birds are having a heyday!!!! I guess it is nice to know that the birds aren't starving; however, it is quite irritating.

Online TV presenter

Do you think you have what it takes to be an online TV presenter? Is it your deepest dream to be a TV presenter online? This is your chance! YourkindaTV is hosting an online TV presenter competition, and you could be the new winner. This competition is allowing anyone and everyone to enter the competition and the winner will be picked by us, the home internet viewers (sounds like all our reality TV shows right now). So do you think we will pick someone worthwhile, or will we go with the good looking and out-of-control personalities?

Snow Again

It snowed again! This is what our front yard looks like right now! I think almost every school in the Western Washington area had the day off (yeah for students, boo for me who doesn't get to work). Knowing that I wouldn't work today I stayed up late reading. When I went to bed at 2am, I looked outside and it was still coming down hard! And it's not supposed to get warm here today, but get colder so all that snow is going to stick and then there will be ice on top of everything else. Stay safe, and drive carefully if you have to go somewhere. If you don't have to, don't go anywhere!

Florida business deal

Are you looking for a business deal to be a part of? How about investing in real estate in Florida? More specific, how about affordable housing, duplexes in SW Florida? SW Florida real estate is booming right now, which is great for all those who are investors. It does make it hard for the hard working Mom and Pop who are trying to find affordable housing. Here is where you come in....the proposed investment opportunity is for duplex housing in the cities of Lehigh Acres and Cape Coral in Southwest Florida. Currently the all-in cost of the duplex project is approximately $285,000. The cost includes the land, building, and site improvements, closing cost and interest during construction. Make NO PAYMENTS DURING CONSTRUCTION. The cost of the project can be financed with a construction loan at 85%-90% of appraised value. (LTV) The current market price of the duplex today is between $325,000 -thus providing the investor with built in profit before construction begins. Because the market value is more than 10% higher than the necessary loan, this is done with very little money out of pocket which can be as low as just $1500 or as high as $5500. It might be worth checking this deal out....good luck!

Bachelor

OMG...I was totally shocked when Lorenzo chose Jen tonight over Sadie on The Bachelor. I thought for sure he was going to pick Sadie.....she was more charismatic, more classy and more into Lorenzo then Jen seemed to be. Jen just seemed weird! Oh well, I'm not marrying her so my vote doesn't count!

Now that I'm totally hooked on the Bachelor, I will definitely be watching in the spring when the new bachelor is a Navy Doctor...quite cute. Hmmm....maybe I need to apply to be on the show!?! As if! I would never do that!

Free Car Classfieds

My poor Freddy (my Ford Explorer) is on his last tires, yes, sadly he is dying. This is a natural death due to old age and my lack of wanting to put money into him to fix him up. He does have over 195,000 miles on him. So I am waiting for him to draw his last breath, which would require me to buy another car. I am hoping to make it until Spring or even Summer...which would be much better for me....before I buy a new car. Once I do, I will definitely be checking out this site about New & Used Cars. I can look for new cars on this site...pictures are provided along with all the details of the car. I am most interested in buying a Jeep....don't you think I would look good driving this cute Jeep in California? There is also a loan calculator to help me determine what my monthly payments will be...definitely will be keeping this site in mind over the next several months.

Traffic

Wow! This is traffic from right now, 11:35 pm in Seattle! Can you believe what happens when it snows around here? Traffic is as bad right now as it is at 5 o'clock rush hour.....possibly even worse. There are people who are abandoning their cars right in the middle of the freeway....ran out of gas, stuck, or simply frustrated with the weather and driving conditions. Those people who were at the Seahawks game tonight (Yeah, we beat the Packers!!!) are probably still trying to get home.

Lord, I pray proctection over all drivers out on the road right now. As well as calmness of emotions when dealing with the weather, the driving and other motorists.

I know I'm not working tomorrow. How bout you?

Wine Club

Are you looking for that perfect Christmas gift, or want to indulge yourself this season? A perfect gift is signing someone up for a monthly club. A great club to join is the wine of the month club! You can set it up as a 3 month, 6 month, 12 month or Wine of the Season club. You can chose between white or red wine, or have a combination of both over the months. And any clubs, for any length of time, and with any quantit of product always has free shipping!

Bored

I had the most boring day at school today. I was at a tribal school, which operates a tad differently then public school. That said it was also a late start day due to the snow. So I had two students actually come into my classroom today and work. I had about seven students during the 2o minutes of homeroom; however, they decided they didn't need to stick around so they left. The rest of the day? Yep, totally bored. I made the bullseye you see here using a nifty compass I found!

How was your day?

Rest In Peace Jack

Poor Jack! Jack was my niece Brittany's guinea pig. Jack passed away this week while they were out of town for Thanksgiving. There was supposed to be a girl coming in and taking of all the animals at my sister's house; however, I think she failed on the job. I am very impressed on how well Britt took care of Jack, and how much she loved him.

Christmas Ecards

I know that Christmas cards are supposed to reflect the reason for the season (that being JESUS), and cards that I send to family usually hold to that reverence. However, there are a few friends that I like to send irreverant cards to.....or should I say off-beat Christmas humor. Susana is the one person that I love to send these type of cards to (after so many years as friends she is one person that understands my humor!!!) You can find these funny ecards at Egreetings.com. There is a huge selection of funny, risque, off-color animated cards on this site. These are brand new just released cards that you can send to your friends this year. One cool thing this site has is a scheduler for your cards. Meaning, you can create your cards today and schedule them to send out at a specific time....this is good for me, as I am going to be gone this Christmas. So I can create cards today for all my friends and have them sent while I am on Christmas vacation, and not worry about getting back to the computer in time to send them! I love technology. Some of their top picks this Christmas are, "Snakes on a Sleigh" (a parody of the cult movie "Snakes on a Plane"---which the movie frightens me!), "A Visit from Bad Santa", "Rising Moon", "Fleas Navidad" and "A Christmas Pick-Me-Up" (featuring the top 5 elf pickup lines--maybe that's what I've been missing....instead of waiting for guys to hit on me I should be looking at the elves from the North Pole!). You can receive a free one-month trial membership, and if you decide to try it full-time it is only $13.99 for a yearly subscription. That is only the price of buying like 4 cards from the store, and this way you can send all you want.

So, branch out a little this Christmas and send a loved one (not one that will get offended) a funny Christmas ecard this season!

From Floods to Snowstorms

What a crazy month in the Pacific Northwest in regards to the weather we have been having. Most of the month found us worrying about floods. In fact, many people lost homes this month to the flooding that happened around our area. Yet today a majority of our schools were either out or were on 2 hour delay due to SNOW! And it was snowing as I was driving home today. Sheesh....the weather man is having a hard time keeping up with what's going on around here!

Note: This is a picture from up north...not right where I live!

Wedding Invitations

Are you looking for wedding invitations? Are you getting married soon? Check this site out for all your invitation needs. They have over 300 designs of invitations that you can choose from. From very elegant to whimsical to beach romantic. Besides your wedding invitations, they have invitations for all your wedding parties....engagments, bridal showers, save the date cards, directions....it is like one stop printing shopping for your special day.

Christmas Lights

The Christmas lights are going up as I type....yeah, for Christmas. When do you get decorating for Christmas? Do the lights come up now, or do you wait? How long do the lights stay up after Christmas?

I guess we also had snow this morning around here! By the time I got outside it was melted around here (rain has a tendency to do that)...but some areas got quite a bit. You even had to have chains up on the pass today.

Cash Back Deals

dealking.com is this great site for cash back deals. They have deals for everything from clothes to food and wine to games and electronics. The best cash back deal that they have right now is from T-Mobile. You can get a Nokia 6030-T Mobile to go phone for FREE! That is just one of the great offers they have on their site. How about $20 off a $50 purchase from buy.com. Check it out for some great Christmas deals. I personally will be checking out the deals from Toys R' Us, as I still have Christmas shopping to do there for nieces and friends!

Excited for Christmas

My sister and I were talking about Christmas plans today and we decided that we would be spending a day in Disneyland (sorry Marcie), a day at Sea World (possibly), and a dinner at the Medieval Nights dinner theatre.....I know, I know not your typical Christmas vacation, but I am so excited. I think I am more excited to be getting out of this frigidly cold weather we are having right now. Even though I was born and raised here, I feel as if I am much more a warm weathered friend.....beaches are calling my name. I wonder how hard it would be to find a job in the Caribbean?

Test Tube Aliens

Do you have some young boys needing a Christmas present this year? Do the like all things boyish like aliens? Then here is the gift for you to give them: alienadoptionworld, these are test tubes filled with a white powder which holds an alien brain. You add water, it starts to hatch and its heart starts beating. You then go online and you and your alien can communicate through some portal they have created. So as your alien grows to an adult you can continue to communicate through the online communication portal.

On second thought, your big boys would probably like this better, as it combines aliens and technology!

Turkey Bowl

Every year on Thanksgiving, at the crack of dawn, boys from our church head over to Sumner High School's football field and play football....known affectionately as the The Annual Turkey Bowl. However, at church today I saw at least two of the guys hurt! One was wearing a sling for his arm....he simply said, "Football, it's a long story and everyone is asking!" So I didn't get out of him what actually happened. The other, an MC pastor who shall remain nameless, was simply running down the field and tore something in his knee. He will be visiting an orthopedic doc this week!

At what age do you boys stop playing sports and start realizing that your bodies can't take the abuse anymore? I know, I know, you are simply having fun!!!!

Money Manager

Do you need to learn how to manage your money? Do you have questions about finances and all that it entails? There is a new financial portal site and soon to be directory of financial professionals to help you along the way. You can start by checking out their information about Cars: Managing a Depreciating Expense! I know I've wondered how buying a brand new car versus leasing one will benefit me financially. And how my brand new car depreciates as soon as I drive it off the lot! Check it out.

In-Between Post

Yes, it's my in-between post again! I know, I know you don't all sit here and read every blog post I put up...and since I am trying to make money for some very specific things....I need to have a few unimaginative posts! I'm sorry, my deepest apologies...especially if you came here truly looking for the meaning of life and other deep spiritual matters. If you truly were looking for that leave me a comment, and I'll get back to you. :)

Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend!

I love rings, especially diamond rings. And yes, I am waiting for a diamond (doesn't have to be huge, but not so small you need a magnifying glass!) to grace the ring finger on my left hand!!! So how do you go about looking for diamonds? What is important to you when looking for a perfect diamond to go in the perfect setting?

Do you look for the diamond first or the setting first? Do you go buy a loose stone if you find the perfect one? I have in my mind what I think is the perfect looking engagement/wedding set (and I can't wait to have a fiancee that I can share this information with)....I want a square cut diamond, not set up too high, with two sapphires one on each side and then some diamonds inset on the rest of the band (not all the way around). Sapphire is my birthstone and I have always wanted to incorporate it into my ring. And the more I look, the more I want to have white gold or platinum (although I have been a yellow gold person all my life). I've been looking around at diamonds online and found that Abazias Diamonds features over 80,000 loose diamonds and a wide selection of jewelry at wholesale prices! It is amazing what they have on their site. You can find wholesale diamonds, loose diamonds, inexpensive (dare I say cheap) diamonds and more on their site.
As I looked around, I was looking at other rings....yes, Sapphires mostly. I have a sapphire ring now, but I look at sapphires every time I go into a store or at an online jewelry store. They are simply an elegant looking stone...I think that is why I want them in my wedding band. If you are looking for a diamond engagement ring, or simply some nice jewelry for your wife's Christmas present (hint, hint all you guys out there) then you should check out Abazias Diamonds where you can find discount diamonds and other gems.....they feature over 80,000 loose diamonds...that is a LOT!!!

Shopping

Ugh...I had to go to Walmart today just for an eye exam follow-up! Even today the store is packed with people. Now I know why I don't shop the day after Thanksgiving....it's CRAZY!!!!! And not all the people are nice when you are out shopping....nor are they aware and considerate of others around them. Pay attention people!!!!

So, I have to break down and buy new glasses. I am not looking forward to spending $300 or more on glasses that I only use at night when I take my contacts out....I know it is necessary, but oh it is so expensive!

Las Vegas

Have you ever thought of moving somewhere warmer during this part of the year? I have, especially after working out in the cold today!!! Have you ever thought of moving to Las Vegas? Yes, I know that most people simply think of LV as the city of sin and the place where you lose all your money. However, Las Vegas is a booming town, and Las Vegas real estate is out of sight. You know that you won't spend much time in the casinos gambling, if you move down there. And I here that jobs are great down there right now! I have a friend who moved down last year, and he is loving it. Found a great job, a great place to live, and he is WARM!!!!! This site can help you with all your moving needs, answer some questions, and help you decide that Las Vegas is a great place to move to.

Las Vegas real estate

And really the most important reason to move to Las Vegas? Because the national PBR (Professional Bull Riding) finals are held there every October! Lots and lots of cowboys come a visitin' LV!!!
Wednesday night I went with Marcie, James and Noah to see Happy Feet at the IMAX Theatre in Seattle. It was a hilariously cute movie! Ramon, the hispanci penguin, stole the show! Althougth the movie's plot was a bit weak (all right, it really sucked), the movie was quite funny. Besides Ramon my other favorite character was Memphis, Mumbles Dad (Mumbles is the Happy Feet character).....who sang and talked just like ELVIS! Yes, I do recommend this movie. And if you can go see it at the IMAX do! Thanks Marcie for taking me I had a ton of fun!

Tonight I worked with KMPS at the Sumner Bridge Lighting ceremony. Every year The Old Cannery furniture store sponsors the Sumner Bridge Lighting. They have cookies, roasted nuts, cider, cocoa, free pictures with Santa, carriage rides and more! It is only for a few hours, but lots of people come out and it is fun. Although it was freezing cold tonight! I had on two t-shirts, a sweatshirt, a coat, gloves and a hat and I was STILL cold! Brrr....it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

"Defiance"

A TRUE STORY SO SHOCKING, THE KGB AND DHS WANTED TO GET RID OF ITS AUTHOR — FOREVER

Synopsis of this book: A trail-blazing self-made tycoon in post-Soviet Russia, Alex Konanykhin was worth $300 million by age 25, having created and controlled the largest bank in Russia. The rise of Boris Yeltsin to the presidency of Russia was financed by Konanykhin. Yeltsin rewarded Konanykhin by giving him the state residence built for the Soviet president and a large detail of Presidential Guards. But when the KGB kidnapped Konanykhin and stole his fortune, Alex and his beautiful wife, Elena, made a harrowing escape to America in September 1992. Then a new nightmare started, as Konanykhin fought the FBI, INS and Justice Department to hold onto his freedom – and his life. The Russian mafia took out a contract on him, and to this day, the U.S. government is trying to deport him back to Russia, where he would most likely be killed, according to government experts. Now, in “DEFIANCE” (September 2006), a shocking new memoir that is every bit as engrossing as a John le Carre novel, Alex Konanykhin, 39, tells an incredibly dramatic tale. This is a true-life story so riveting, only Konanykhin himself can tell it, a hair-raising account of betrayal, corruption, conspiracy, high-speed chases and government cover-ups. From the waning days of the Soviet Union to rebuilding his fortune as a U.S. entrepreneur, Konanykhin reveals his amazing saga of rags to riches, near death, battling two superpowers and achieving success in America.

American Greetings Software

It's that time of year that people are getting out pen, cards and stamps! Time to send out your Christmas cards. Why not make it easier on yourself this year, and try out the free printables software from American Greetings. This is an easy online software that you can download onto your computer. It is easy and simple, and once downloaded you are ready to go. Not only can you make and print your Christmas cards this year, but you can also create other customized crafts such as invitations, envelopes, labels, gift tags and gift card holders....such much to do and make!! Once you have the software installed, you can also make other projects outside of Christmas. How about all those birthday cards that you need, year long! You can choose to try the software out on a free card or product, and will not have to disclose any personal information such as your email address or credit card information. However, if you choose to use the software on cards and craft projects that require a yearly subscription fee, you would be required to provide personal information including email, mailing address and credit card information. The software is spyware/adware free.

If I were rich.....

.....or at least had more money! I would definitely have a maid. I don't mind laundry, I don't even mind doing dishes....but I HATE to actually clean....YUCK!! I cleaned today, and the smell of bleach and disinfectants is still burning my nostrils! I can see why my sister had a maid at one point in time. So there you have it, if I ever have the money to spend on frivolities, a maid is a must have at the top of the list.

Jesus is watching you

One night a burglar is trying to break into a house. He's sneaking across the lawn when he hears a voice - "Jesus is watching you!" He jumps, turns around, but he doesn't see anything. So he starts creeping across the lawn again. "Jesus is watching you!" He hears it again. So now the burglar is really looking around, and he sees a parrot in a cage by the side of the house. He says to the parrot, "Did you say that?" The parrot answers "Yes I did." So the burglar asks, "What's your name?" The parrot says "Clarence." The burglar says "What kind of stupid idiot would name his parrot Clarence?" The parrot laughs and says, "The same stupid idiot that named his Rottweiler 'Jesus' "

Overstock Coupons

Who doesn't like bargains? Especially with Christmas shopping starting tomorrow? Can you believe that stores are opening at 5am tomorrow morning? By the time I get up all the good stuff will be gone...and since I don't have any extra shopping money right now, I think I'll sleep in. The reason I can do this, is because of all the online shopping I can do! If you are looking for online bargains (and coupons), Overstock Coupons is the place to go. They have coupons on their site for actual stores, by category (computers, games, cameras, phones, etc), and by different categories within the home. Isn't this way better? And it's all shipped to you!

Christmas Decorating

I love decorating for Christmas! I'm excited to be going to California if only to see all my Christmas decorations!!! They were boxed up and traveled to Cali when my sister moved down there. Her house is usually decorated with all MY stuff...and I have a ton of Christmas decorations. Nine stockings go on the wall (or mantle if they have one now), wooden plaques go up all over, a mini tree with miniature ornaments goes up, stickies go up on the windows. I have snowmen, a singing Santa, snowglobes, stuffed animals that come out of hiding, candy canes and so much more!!! Christmas definitely explodes in their house, and I'm so excited to get it all out and decorate!!!!

The U in Jesus

THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

PPP Forums

I love being able to say what I think and be honest about it. Some would say that I am too honest at times; however, I would disagree with that. If you are going to be honest, then great. If you are going to hedge because you want to say something that is appealing to everyone, or make someone happy then you aren't being honest. Why do I bring this up? PPP (payperpost) has a great forum area where you can go and talk about whatever you want. You can gossip (although I am totally against gossip, so let's call it chatting about celebrities and the latest on-dit)! You can comment about blogs that payperpost has put up. You can agree or disagree with whatever people put up on the forum. Come check it out! I think I may head over and leave comments about how nice and relaxed the Tamale looks in her new confessional video! Or you can go over and tell them all how nice I am, and how much work I am putting into PPP!

Today

Can you believe that I have already started wrapping Christmas presents? Yep, I have! I got a lot done today (no work, so sad)....so I ran errands, wrapped Christmas presents, made lots and lots of cookies (they came in the buckets you buy from kid's fundraising), and did a notary signing tonight....so even though I didn't work at school, I was still busy! Heading off to bed, as I do have to work tomorrow. 1st graders here I come.

Eclipse Plugins

If you're looking for an Eclipse Plugin, this is last one you'll ever need. MyEclipse is a full-featured software development environment that functions on top of the Eclipse platform. MyEclipse solves efficiency issues, provides high quality tooling and gives developers a low cost solution. Most comparable products are available for $3-10K, and MyEclipse costs only $30/yr. Eclipse Plugins can be found at myeclipse.com and help you with all that you need.

Ebay

Dang those people who come in at the last second and up my ebay bid and win my auction right out from underneath me. Barb and I were going to go in on this scrapbook lot that included a tote and a whole bunch of other really cool scrap stuff....we had it until the last minute, and then at the last second someone came in and bid us up by $3.....$3 I say. Ugh!!!!

Oh well, that's ok....I probably shouldn't be spending that money anyone. Although, I wasn't spending bill money...just money I've made off of Ebay recently. Sell stuff to buy stuff, right?

Tamale's 2nd Confessional

So a few weeks ago, I blogged about office confessionals! I featured Tamale from payperpost, and how she was kind of stressed out and that it was a office confessional that bordered on hysteria almost! Well, she is BACK! Is she still stressed out? Nope! You can totally tell within just a few seconds of the tape playing that she is more relaxed...this just by observing how she is dressed, how her posture is and more! I'm thinking that being in Las Vegas, for the payperpost wedding that recently took place, really helped her unstress. I imagine that Las Vegas can and will help anyone help stress out. What else might have made her happy? I'm thinking that the new HP digital camera that her boss left on her desk made her happy. Yes, they say it can help with taking pictures at work for work related projects; however, I'm sure she is going to have fun playing with her new toy. I know I would like to have a new digital camera (hint, hint for anyone shopping for Christmas)! Click here to see

It's Official....

....Warm 106.9 here in the Seattle area and Sunny (don't know the call letters) in Columbus, GA are both playing Christmas music. Woo-Hooo....alert the media, it's CHRISTMASTIME! Yeah. My friend Susana and I love Christmas and Christmas music....she had to call me today to let me know about it being played down there. Isn't it exciting?

Now if I could only find my Harry Connick Christmas CD all would be well!

Credit Card Search

I'm not a huge advocate of credit cards because of the debt that they create; however, I do believe that you should have one if only for emergencies. I have had a few of those over the years, and my credit card (and my Dad) have bailed me out. So if you are looking for a good creidt card including: Low Interest, Cash Back, Rewards, Airline miles, student, business, and credit cards for bad credit...then check out this search engine for credit cards, it might help you find what you are looking for.

Meet Anita

Have you ever wondered how a hairdresser practices at home? Well, now you know they have models like Anita here. Yes, this is Anita and she lives with my sister. (Anita truly is her name...my sister named her). She spends most of her time hanging out on the kitchen table waiting for her next big updo, styling, or just a simple brushing of the hair. When I was there getting my hair cut and colored, Anita got a strip of color as well. Does it seem weird that Anita is out 24/7, and that my 2 year old niece Dajia is used to a head just sitting around? (At least the head isn't rolling around in the trunk, eh Susana?) My biggest question is whether Anita is joining us for Thanksgiving Dinner or if she has other friends to visit for the day!

Models Needed

Hi everyone in blogville! My sister Camille started a new job this week with a salon in Bellevue. She is looking for people who would like to get their hair cut for free!! Part of her job is to learn from her "supervisor" lady for three months before being put out on their floor. As she learns new techniques for her, she then uses those techniques on live models. Don't worry she is already certified, having gone through Gene Juarez and graduating a few years ago. This is simply this companies way of teaching new employees how they like to do things.

So if you are looking for a new hair do, please let me know and I will get you in touch with my sister. Keep in mind that you will have to drive to Bellevue, probably during the day or on a weekend. My sister is good....she does my hair all the time and I love it. She will need lots of people over the next couple of months!

I'm not sure if I truly need a disclosure policy at this point on my blog; however, it is making me money. And I'm sure that if I continue to do this blog for money thing then I will need some kind of disclosure policy on my blog. So I guess I'll give it a try....it can't hurt anything, right? Happy Friday

Oh Happy Friday, the weekend is here!! Yippee! So what are your plans for the weekend? I am going to have a playdate with my niece Dajia tomorrow while her mommy and daddy are at work. The only bad thing is that I have to be in Issaquah no later than 8:15 in the morning, which means I have to be out of the house by 7:30 at the latest....ugh, I'm not much of a morning person. And with my luck Dajia will be wide awake and running around the house. I'm sure that we will be watching a movie together snuggled up in a chair or on the couch!

Game Hacks

When I first started playing SIMS on the computer, my nephew Brandon went online and got online codes for the game. So in turn we used those codes to cheat on SIMS, and my nieces never figured it out...fun times. Yes, I know it is bad to let kids do that....but what fun we had. So you are thinking to yourself, "how do I win this stupid game I've been playing forever?" You can get game hacks and maple story hacks online, for just about any game you are playing. These sites are your window to so many game guides and cheats....use them as you will.

Heaven Joke

Fulfilling their requests

There were 3 men who died and before God would let them into heaven, he gave them a chance to come back as anything they wanted.

The first guy said " I want to come back as myself, but 100 times smarter. So God made him 100 times smarter.

The second guy said "I want to be better than that guy, make me 1000 times smarter. So God made him 1000 times smarter.

The last guy decided he would be the best. So he said "God, make me better than both of them, make me 1,000,000 times smarter.

So God made him a woman !!

Apogee Search Engine Marketing

Ok, so I'll be honest...I wasn't quite sure what this site was about at first; however, as I looked through it a bit I realized that they help people turn their websites into money making machines. The technique is called search engine marketing, and they help you come up with ways to drive qualified, targeted visitors to B2B and B2C websites for more leads, customers, revenues and profits. They also show you how to become an AdWords qualified company...which I have heard does work. If you have been trying to get your website to make money contact a representative at Apogee Search.

Christmas Presents

Yeah for me!! I started making Christmas presents this week, and I have two done....one for my mom and one for my sister Camille. I am almost done with my Dad's. The sad thing? I can't tell you what I am making, nor show you pictures....even though they are totally cool! The reason? My mom!!! She reads my blog (we have already discussed this)....and well, she'd find out what I was making her and that wouldn't be any fun would it? So being the good person that buys presents early and wraps them....I am going to have my sister Camille, Dajia and my Mom's presents done, wrapped and in their hands next week on Thanksgiving. Why no, I'm not crazy! But I am leaving for Cali on the 19th and don't want to ship presents to anyone but Susana (which I have to because she lives in North Carolina...yes did a little shopping for you today too!!!).

Online Poker

Do you like playing poker? Do you want to play online for free? Check this free poker site out! PokerSavvy has information on playing poker....especially Hold 'em (I hear that game is most popular), online, reviews of online casinos, as well as links that allow you to get discounts on your new account at those casinos. It's easy, check it out.

One Night With the King

I went and saw One Night With the King yesterday and wow, it was amazing! This is a movie about Queen Esther and how she defied protocol by entering the courts of her husband King Xerxes, and how in his mercy he extended his scepter to her which allowed her to fight for the lives of her people, the Jews.

It made me absolutely thank God as I was sitting in the theater that Esther realized that her place and timing in history was for such a time as that! As you read the Bible you sometimes don't get the internal struggle that those men and women went through when making decisions that affected the outcome of their lives, the lives of those around them, and in Esther's case the lives of an entire nation.

The movie also showed King Xerxes as a man who was searching for something more....something he wasn't sure that he could define, but knowing that he was searching for that thing that Esther had....the peace of God! Who knows, that might just be Hollywood; however, do we think about the other characters in the Bible? Do we think about whether they searched for God? Do we give any consideration that Xerxes might be in Heaven today because of Esther's commitment to God and her committment to her husband? It also showed the deep love that these two had for each other. Again, in all the reading of the Book of Esther, I always see Esther's role as simply that must be done in history in order to save her people. However, it really opened my eyes to see that she probably did end up loving her husband and wanting to honor him as well as God. In that honor of her husband, I'm sure that she wanted him to see who the true God was and that he would come to know the Savior! I know that movies that come out about Biblical times aren't always accurate; however, they give us a visual glimpse of what might have been. I will definitely be re-reading the Book of Esther with new eyes!

This is a must see movie!

In order to blog my payperposts I have to have an in between post each time. Which means I have to have 3-5 sentences that don't relate to PPP....yes, sometimes, it is hard, but then again, I love to talk and write so....

...Please keep looking through all my posts even though I have all these extra posts in here. I still do write about me and my family, and the things I am doing. Now it just takes a bit more to get to them! Thanks for being patient when scrolling through...and hey at least I am providing you reading material!

By no stretch of the imagination am I a girl who prefers sports cars like Corvettes over trucks!! I love the power of a diesel truck!!! And everyone knows that a diesel truck can beat a corvette any day!!! Yep, it's true! How do you make your diesel performance better? Ellen

So I'm home watching TV...and my favorite talk show is on! Ellen Degeneres. I know a lot of people don't like her because of her alternative lifestyle; however, I think she is one of the funniest comedians around today. One of my goals is to attend a taping of her show in CA, and meet her. I keep checing her website for tickets in January, hoping to get on before I come home after Christmas...but I don't think they are filming in January. So I guess I'm just going to have to wait until I move down there! Who knows, maybe I can share Jesus with her! She is funny, and more importantly, she is funny in a clean manner. She doesn't use excessive language, crude descriptions, or talk excessively about her alternative lifestyle. And she LOVES to DANCE! Whoo--hoo!

Bible Trivia

The Random Trivia Rachel is back! I love to find out and share with everyone else random trivia, thoughts, questions, etc, etc. So Charlie and I were talking about words in the Bible the other day, and we were doing a little research. So here is the question that came out of that conversation:

Tell me, do you know what words in the Bible start with the letter X?

How many can you find? Post your thoughts and I will let you all know in a day or so! Good Luck!

Ebay Tips/Tricks ebook

Do you like the hunt of finding items on Ebay? Or are you the person, like me, who likes to sell their items on Ebay and then watch and wait for people to bite and buy? I love to sell on Ebay. I have found my own niche in the scrapbooking/craft world; however, I'm sure that I am missing opportunities because I don't totally know all the ins and out of selling on Ebay. Well, there is a new Ebay ebook about selling on Ebay by Rob Frechette. He started selling on Ebay part-time, and now sells 50,000...yes 50,000 items each month....all this with just one full-time employee. Amazing! The cool thing about Rob is that he didn't go into debt with loans to start his Ebay selling business, he went step by step and grew his business to the size it is today. So, if you are interested in selling on Ebay and making money while doing it check out this ebay ebook and learn from his do and don't experiences!

Friendship Tea

Does anyone out there in blogland have a good recipe for Friendship Tea? I also know it as Russian Tea. My grandma used to make Russian tea with tang! If I remember correctly, it is something easy to make and it is WONDERFUL to drink. I am trying to make a lot of my christmas presents this year, and I was thinking of making this and putting it in little decorative buckets.

So please share your recipes with me! I'll tell you how it turns out, and maybe I'll post a picture of my finished product! Although I really need a digital camera that I can upload directly to my computer. Right now, I can only take my camera in and put my pictures on disc and then bring it home! Ugh, kind of frustrating and time consuming...butoh well, you do what you have to do!

Light Box

So just what I need another tool for scrapbooking! Yeah for me! I love items that other professions use for their work, and that I can then use for my scrapbooking. Suppliesnet.com is a website selling these awesome little light boxes. Photographers use them for viewing their slides and negatives, as well as shooting items with great background light, and this company is also marketing them to scrapbookers! Why? Because we love to trace, draw, and cut out shapes, letters, numbers and any other numerous items for our scrapbooks. I work with materials that sometimes are hard to trace through because of the density; however, having this light box will come in handy and help tremendously. And the best part is that this cool little light box is only $32! Not a bad price for something that I would use frequently.

Christmas Songs

So I was reading Chris and Jenni's blog awhile ago, and Jenni mentioned that she was playing Christmas songs! I am so ready to hear Christmas music....and some radio stations around here start playing them 24/7 next Friday...the day after Thanksgiving! One of my favorite singers is Elvis and he has wonderful christmas music. But my all time favorite Christmas CD is Harry Connick, Jr. He just has this wonderfully soulful voice that is absolutely bone melting (best concert I've ever seen)! So, get out those Christmas CD's and get ready because Christmas music here I come!

Why do I love PPP?

Oh why do I love PPP? What is PPP you ask, it is payperpost! Let me count the ways!

1. I love money!

2. I love getting money for free!

3. I love to talk, and writing is almost the same as talking...only there is no one answering me (Shut up over there!).

4. I love finding out about new companies, information and stuff that they sell or offer (I may not buy it but I like to soak up information).

5. I love telling other people how they can make money (this is called word of mouth marketing....hear me, hear me...payperpost makes you money!!!)

6. Did I mention that I love money? More importantly I love free money!

7. I love seeing those deposits in my paypal account (yes, I've gotten four already with more ready to deposit in the next couple of days).

8. I love knowing that my ipod is in reach...only need about $100 more from ppp (I had to spend the other money earned on bills....so ipod here I come).

Check it out....you too can make free money from payperpost....just blog away!

Mario or Emmitt

So one of my GP's (that's guilty pleasures, just between Chipo and I) is Dancing with the Stars. Tonight is the dancing finals between Mario Lopez and Emmitt Smith. They are both HOT!! I am actually quite amazed at how well they dance and move to the music. I really was voting for Joey Lawrence (Whoa....), but alas, he was voted off last week! So...who do you think is going to win next week? My vote is going to Mario, no Emmitt...um, I can't decide!! I like them both. But old favorites are hard to give up so I am voting for Slater!

Also going into finals mode this next week is The Bachelor! I never used to watch this show (I actually thought it was quite stupid); however, since living with Barb I have gotten hooked. So the final two women are Sadie and Jen....who do you think is going to win? I say Sadie all the way. She is classy, elegant and has strong values that she is sticking to!!! Go Sadie.

Anything else that we should be voting on in TV world? Oh yes, Amazing Race is down to five racers....I'm going with the cutesy boys for winning. THey are not my favorite, but I think they can do it. The 'bama girls need to go! The Cho brothers are too wishy washy, so I don't think they are going to win. The blondies are too blonde! Rob and Kimberly are just too much for me, but I had to have anyone othere than the models, I would vote for Rob and Kimberly!

So time will tell in the next few weeks who wins all these finals! Send your votes in! I know I'm not the only one who watches tv out there in blogville.

My apologies

So my apologies for the absolutely GIGANTIC pictures on the last post!!! That was a payperpost and the pictures were requirements for the post....I had no control over the size!! UGH!!

I had the class from hell today, poor, poor pitiful me!!! Made every dollar I earned today well earned. But then the last class was great, so they made up for the rest of the day!

Do you realize that Thanksgiving is next week? And Christmas is just over a month away! Oh my, where has the time gone. I'm not even close to being ready for Christmas...not enough paychecks between now and then....I guess I'll figure something out!

Virtual Cheering Squad

There are many people I know that I would like to cheer up and be a cheering squad for; however, there is one person who is extra special to me!! Her name is Chipo, and she lives in Zimbabwe! This great Virtual Cheering Squad is wonderful for uplifting spirits. Chipo had to move to Zimbabwe due to INS and our inability to wade through the paperwork. This new voicequilt allows a person to have a toll-free number that you can have people call into and leave messages. You then take those messages and turn it into a voice quilt or a virtual cheering squad. Imagine making one of these for Grandma and Grandpa who live across the miles. How bout one for a college student far from home. These are great! Now if postage wasn't so much to Zimbabwe I would actually consider doing this!!!!
